Quetzal Del Mar is only 17 kilometers/10miles north-east from the Pan-American Highway, which will bring you to Costa Rica’s major cities. The project is 2 hours and 30 minutes from the International Airport in San Jose.
Just 30 minutes to the Pacific coast and 40 minutes to the popular beach town of Puntarenas, a day of sun and relaxation is just a short drive away. The closest body of water is the Nicoya Gulf where you can enjoy one of the beaches or take a breath taking ferry ride to the Nicoya Peninsula. On the Peninsula you will be greeted by a number of quaint beach towns and nature reserves.
Lower on the Pacific coast you will find Jaco, a modern city on the sand, and Quepos, a relaxing tourist destination. Near Quepos is Manuel Antonio National Park, said to be the most sought out destination in Costa Rica. The striking green forests line the white beaches and crystal blue water where animals play and the waves gently lap against the shore.
Quetzal Del Mar is 26 kilometers/10 miles from the world famous Monteverde cloud forest, where you will find adventure and beauty beyond compare. Below the cloud forest is an agricultural Quaker community complete with horse drawn wagons and verdant pastures.
Just to the north-east of Monteverde is Arenal Volcano and La Fortuna, a natural hot springs, where you will find relaxing pools, spas, and majestic scenery. At night time watch the light show of lava flow off the mountain.
